LOCAL AUTO SHOP A TRUE SENSE
OF COMMUNITY AND FAMILY
Our Community
Hermosa Beach and the surrounding beach cities are known for their relaxed atmosphere and sense of fun and community. At Beachside Auto, we have taken that ideal into our shop and hope that every customer who walks in feels relaxed and at ease. While having to deal with car repairs is no walk on the beach, we hope to bring that beach-town sense to your day as you drop off your car for service. There is always a reason to smile, and at Beachside, we hope to make your vehicle maintenance something that does not cause you stress as you leave your car with our experienced specialists and go on with your day. |
Charity - Helping Others
At Beachside, we believe in paying it forward. For over three decades, our family’s commitment to community by donating to charitable causes is renowned. From Toys for Tots to canned food drives, to Saint Jude's, Beachside has helped numerous charities with donations, recognition, and community service. Every community has organizations that reach out to help others, and Beachside Auto reaches out to help those organizations. Beachside is proud to help keep deserving non-profits going strong.
We believe that by giving back to the community, we help it grow and thrive. |
Our Philosophy
HEAD • HANDS • HEART A review from one of our loyal customers said it best...
I’ve been a Beachside customer for 26 years and counting. I once asked Ken, “What’s your philosophy on fixing cars?” And he said, "Head. Hands. Heart." HEAD "The knowledge to make wise decisions in the best interest of both car and customer." HANDS "The skill to affect repairs at the highest level." HEART "which means caring not only about the car, but the person who drives the car, and the family who rides in the car." I'm here to tell you, Ken and his crew stand by this philosophy every day in every way. If I had to pick one word to represent Ken and the guys at Beachside Auto it would be INTEGRITY. Thank you for taking such good care of me and my cars!" Elayne ~ Torrance CA |
Going Green

BEING NATIVE AMERICAN, THE 7th GENERATION PRINCIPLE IS VERY IMPORTANT TO OWNER KEN GARCIA
The “7th Generation” principle is a belief held and a standard upheld by nearly all Native American tribes on this continent and many indigenous tribes throughout the world as well. It states that in every decision made, whether it be on a personal, small business, corporate or governmental level, we must consider how it will affect the earth and its people seven generations into the future.
Long before environmentalists drew our attention to things like “carbon footprints” and “sustainability,” indigenous peoples lived in balance with the world around them. Native American tribal languages didn’t even include a word for “ecology.” Respect for the earth and sky was so ingrained in their way of thinking and their way of life that it was simply taken for granted.
The 7th generation principal has always been extremely important to Native American cultures, so much so that it was codified in the Iroquois Great Law of Peace created in the 12th Century, and has stood for over a thousand years.
7th Generation is a standard we endeavor to live by in our personal lives, as well as here at Beachside Auto.

Here are some ways we are embracing the 7th generation principle and “Going Green:”
• Use of biodegradable water-based products that won’t harm the environment • Use of non-corrosive and non-toxic solvents for parts cleaning • All oils used at the shop are recycled appropriately • Oil filters are drained for 24 hours and sent to a recycling center • Used metal parts and scrap metals are saved and picked up by local recyclers • Regular inspections to maintain highest standards of environmental safety regulations In addition, we: • Recycle used oil and battery cores • Recycle office waste (paper, plastic, etc.) • Recycle paper and plastic shipping containers & shipping materials • Monitor Freon levels during air condition system repairs and charging, to make sure no Freon escapes to potentially damage the earth's ozone layer |
These are just some of the ways Beachside Auto strives to keep our planet
green not just for our generation, but for generations to come!
